The Samsung Omnia 7


Samsung was last spotted unfurling the Wave 533, Wave 525 and Wave 575, thereby enhancing the Wave series. The company moves one step ahead with the latest Omnia 7 smartphone.

The Omnia 7 claims to be the first Samsung phone featuring Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 platform. Fitted with a vibrant 4-inch Super AOLED touchscreen, the offering is powered by 1GHz application processor. Equipped with a 5MP camera, the solution amplifies the entertainment experience with Xbox Live features and games, and Zune music and video.

Offering Windows Phone Hubs, the offering houses a customizable Start Screen which provides live tiles that highlight real-time updates from the web, news, appointments and social media status. The device functions seamlessly with the Li-ion 1500mAh battery which is capable of delivering around 250 minutes on 2G and about 370 minutes on 3G. Moreover, the device offers up to 390 hours of standby on 2G and about 330 hours on 3G. Weighing just 138gms, the device can be picked up in 8GB and 16GB capacities.
The Omina 7 is anticipated to available in selected markets during this holiday season.
